This guide collects very little about you. The server records technical details of each visit, we keep any email you send to [email protected], and your browser stores one setting once you close the cookie notice. Google receives a request when the site’s fonts load, and a third party sees your click if you follow a Vegasino button. The site itself takes no registrations or payments and runs no analytics.

Who we are

Vegasino Australia Guide is an independent information site about Vegasino, written for readers in Australia. You can’t sign up, deposit or place a bet on it. The site’s owner decides how the data described on this page is handled, and the editors answer questions about it, so contact the editors with any request. For the reviews and status checks themselves, and the calculations behind them, start at the Vegasino main page.

Anything you hand to Vegasino itself, such as sign-up details or identity documents, falls under Vegasino’s own privacy notice, which this page doesn’t cover. The section on clicking through to Vegasino shows where one ends and the other begins.

What we collect

Four kinds of data reach us or the services the site relies on, and the table covers all of them.

Data Why Who handles it How long
Server logs: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested (including addresses that don’t exist), date and time To deliver pages, find broken links and protect the site from abuse Our hosting provider and the site’s software On the hosting provider’s routine log schedule
An email you send us: your address, the message and any attachment To reply, and to check and fix a page you’ve flagged The editors, in our mailbox As long as we need to deal with the message and keep a record of any correction it led to
One browser setting: that you’ve closed the cookie notice So the notice doesn’t reappear on every page Your browser only; it isn’t sent to us Until you clear your browser’s site data
Font requests: your IP address, browser details and the page being viewed To display the site’s fonts Google Under Google’s own rules

The browser setting, its exact name and how to remove it are covered in our cookie policy. How Google treats font requests is governed by Google’s privacy policy.

What we don’t collect

With no logins, comment boxes, sign-up forms or mailing list on the site, there’s nothing of that kind to store. Payments and card details never pass through it either. There are no analytics tools, advertising pixels or social media widgets, and no advertising ID is assigned to you. Should any of that change, this page and the cookie policy will be updated in advance.

When you click through to Vegasino

The Vegasino buttons on this site don’t point straight at the casino. Each one passes through a link-tracking address run by a third party, which records the click and then forwards you to Vegasino. Like any web server, that address receives your IP address and browser details, and it can set its own cookies. We neither run it nor decide what it stores.

Once you land on Vegasino, its own Privacy Notice applies. The version we read (effective October 2024, archived 8 October 2025) says that “the operator of this website is the Data Controller” and doesn’t name the company. Under that notice Vegasino can collect an ID card, driver licence or passport number, proof of address, source of funds or wealth, and bank details and statements. It can also ask to see ID, proof of address and proof of payment before crediting a bonus or processing a withdrawal. Questions about that data go to Vegasino’s data protection officer at [email protected]. Our page on what Vegasino asks for in verification explains when those requests usually arrive.

How we use data

Each kind of data is used for one purpose. Server logs keep the site running and help us spot errors and abuse, such as bulk scraping or attempts to break in. Your email lets us reply and, if you’ve found a mistake, check the source and fix the page. As for the browser setting, all it does is decide whether the cookie notice appears.

We don’t sell or rent personal information, build profiles of readers or make automated decisions about anyone. Nor do we send marketing email: if you write to us, you get a reply to that message and nothing further.

Sharing and transfers

Some of the data above is seen by:

  • our hosting provider, which stores the site and its server logs;
  • Google, which serves the fonts;
  • the third party behind the link-tracking address, once you click a Vegasino button;
  • police, courts or regulators, if the law requires us to hand something over.

Nobody outside that list receives it. Google, and possibly our hosting provider, can store or process data on servers outside Australia. Your emails stay in our mailbox and go to Vegasino or anyone else only if you ask us to pass them on.

Your choices

Australia’s Privacy Act 1988 sets out the Australian Privacy Principles, which include a right to ask an organisation what personal information it holds about you and to have it corrected. We handle every reader’s request on that basis. You can:

  • ask what we hold, which in practice means your emails, if you’ve written to us, plus routine server logs;
  • ask us to correct or delete your messages;
  • clear the cookie-notice setting in your browser at any time, after which the notice simply comes back;
  • block requests to Google’s font servers with a content-blocking extension, and pages will fall back to a standard sans-serif font;
  • skip the Vegasino buttons, so the link-tracking address never sees you, or open them in a private window and close it when you’re done.

Send requests through the same contact page. If our answer doesn’t settle the matter, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. The OAIC privacy complaints page asks people to raise an issue with the organisation first, so start with us.

Children

Since every page here covers a gambling brand, the site is meant for adults 18 and over. It isn’t aimed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If a child has emailed us, let us know and we’ll delete the message.

Changes to this policy

If the way the site handles data changes, for example if we add a contact form or a new outside service, we’ll update this page before the change goes live and move the “Last reviewed” date at the top. A significant change also gets a one-line note under that date, so returning readers can see what’s different.
